Into the Deep End

August 20th, 2008  Tagged

Finally, I have created my first blog, and I must say the steps towards the creation of my blog were very confusing and somewhat complicated. It was very difficult trying to stay at the same pace in which Sue was teaching us. I think this was difficult because I don’t have much background knowledge on blogs. I believe in order for me to fully understanding the blogging world I will need more experience and practise using it. At present, I feel like I have been thrown into a technology whirlpool, with all these things to remember, the main concern of mine is how will I manage my blog and keep it up to date?

Hayley, now that you have spent more time blogging I hope you are feeling more comfortable with the process. Sue made some valuable suggestions last week – she said to begin reading other blogs of interest and leave a comment even if it is only to say you enjoyed reading the blog. I think this is a good way to start. :)

Unfortunately time constraints meant that I had to cover the information at a much faster pace than was anywhere ideal so it is no wonder that you feel like you were in a technology whirlpool.

However please take the time to check out the information on The Getting Started with Edublogs page of The Edublogger as there are some excellent resources that will help.

Meanwhile don’t stress :) perhaps just make the time to write one post a week that reflects on what the knowledge/information that you have gained relating to the innovation.

Hi Sue, I understand we had a limited amount of time, although everything I did gain from your session has been very valuable to my learning. I will check out the information and continue to increase my experience in using blogs. Thanks Sue
